Bringing Your Dog

Dogs are welcome.  We have a dog-proof paddock where dogs can run safely off-lead and where there are even a few jumps and weaving poles available should your dog enjoy a bit of agility training.

There are plenty of walks from the cottages on quiet roads with dog friendly pubs en-route.  A five minute footpath takes you to Stow-on-the-Wold where many of the pubs welcome dogs. More information on dog friendly activities in the area can be found on

We're happy to provide towels for drying off your dog after walks and other items such as a dog crate, pet blanket and poo-bags if needed.

So that we can continue to welcome dogs, we do ask owners to please follow the following guidelines:

  • Please don't bring dogs under 6 months of age to the cottage.
  • Please don't allow your dog on furniture or in the bedrooms.
  • If you need to leave your dog alone in the property we can provide a dog crate with pet blanket.
  • If your dog returns with muddy feet please wash off your dog at the outside tap before allowing the dog back in the cottage. We can supply special dog towels for drying off.
  • For everybody's sake, please clear up after your dog wherever it occurs! We can provide free poo-bags.
  • The Countryside Code is very important so please keep your dog under close control at all times for its own safety as well as the comfort of others.
  • Please thoroughly clean the cottage, including dog hair from rugs, before you leave.

Thank you!
