Nestled in the small hamlet of Maugersbury near Stow-on-the-Wold, in the Gloucestershire Cotswolds, Swingletree has its very own character, space and privacy.
Swingletree is a very attractive one-level Cotswold stone barn conversion with a vaulted ceiling, exposed roof trusses, oak floors, Cotswold stone walls and great views. The cottage is comfortable in all seasons and winter breaks are made especially cosy with the gorgeous wood-burning stove. The patio is perfect for relaxing with a glass or two of your favourite wine while soaking up the warmth and atmosphere of the fire pit where you can throw on a few tasty barbeque treats.
A quiet 600 yard tree-lined footpath leads to the welcoming Bell Inn on the edge of Stow and further on into the market town there are more great restaurants, pubs and coffee houses.
As Swingletree is very much dog friendly dogs can run safely off-lead in a safe paddock next to the cottage and take their owners on good local walks on footpaths, tracks and quiet country lanes! And for very energetic owners, there is a hard tennis court free to use just nearby!
If you have time to go out for the day, there are wonderful gems such as Lower Slaughter, Bourton-on-the-Water, Blenheim Palace, Oxford and Sudeley Castle.
