Accessibility Statement

Introduction

Park Farm Holiday Cottages are a cluster of five cottages, four of which are single-storey detached cottages and the fifth is a two-storey wing to the farmhouse.

Pre-Arrival

  • Our website includes links to local travel services.
  • All guests are sent detailed directions on how to reach their cottage. If any assistance is required on the journey please phone 01451 870568 or 07974 962462.
  • Park Farm is less than ½ mile by footpath from Stow-on-the-Wold and about 1 mile by car to the town centre.
  • We are happy to collect guests from Moreton Station (4 miles) or to meet them off a bus in Stow-on-the-Wold.
  • If given a list of items to obtain before guests arrive, we will be happy to obtain some provisions in readiness.
  • Tesco and Sainsburys deliver locally.


On Arrival
On arrival at the cottage, guests will be able to make themselves at home. We will visit the cottage after your arrival, but if you need help before our visit, please phone 01451 870568 or 07974 962462.

Our Holiday Cottages

  • There is ample car parking for residents at all the cottages.
  • From the car parking areas, there is level access to all of the cottages except Stonewell Cottage, which has a slope covering a distance of about 10 yards leading to the front door.
  • In all cases, the ground surface consists of medium to fine gravel.
  • Wheelchair access is possible to all cottages, though it is recommended that wheelchair guests are accompanied.
  • The areas around the cottages are well lit.
  • Small thresholds lead into the cottages, but otherwise there are no steps or stairs in the single-storey cottages. In Fishers Cottage, there is a flight of wooden steps leading to the first floor.
  • Fishers Cottage and Swingletree are carpeted throughout the living and bedroom areas; Daisy Bank and The Oxbow have wooden floors, with some rugs, in the living areas and carpeting in the bedrooms and Stonewell has wood flooring throughout the living area and bedrooms with some rugs.
  • There is cushion floor vinyl in the bathroom of Fishers Cottage; tiled flooring in the bathrooms of Swingletree, Daisy Bank, Stonewell, The Oxbow and the shower room of Fishers Cottage.
  • The kitchens in Fishers Cottage, Daisy Bank, The Oxbow and Stonewell are tiled and the kitchen floor in Swingletree is cushion floor vinyl.
  • There is good access to all ground floor beds, though the most accessible are those in Stonewell.
  • Four cottages have walk-in showers on the ground floor and the fifth, The Oxbow, has a ground floor over-bath shower. Stonewell has a wet room with a level floor throughout.
  • Kitchen work surfaces are of standard 90 cm height.
  • Registered assistance dogs are welcomed and there are good facilities for allowing them exercise.
  • Floors are level throughout all cottages.

Grounds and Gardens

  • Each cottage has its own patio area and lawned area.
  • Additionally, there is a level lawned area available to all cottage residents with seating in shaded areas.
  • There is a flight of stone steps with a hand rail in the garden, though there is a lawned ramp as an alternative.
  • There are no water features.

Additional Information

  • Our fire risk assessments are clear and up to date.
  • We are happy to assist in sourcing equipment locally, eg from The Red Cross or Social Services.
  • The cottage owners, John and Tiana Ricketts, live on-site and are very willing to assist in any way to make your holiday enjoyable for all your guests. Should we not be available for any reason, there are alternative contact numbers available.
  • Emergency information is clearly available in all cottages.

There is someone available on-site most of the time.
