Daylesford Organic Farm Shop (4 miles) Website : www.daylesfordorganic.com Cotswold Motoring Museum and Toy Collection (4 miles) Website : www.cotswold-motor-museum.co.uk Though the main focus is on motoring, the Museum is full of the everyday paraphernalia that made motoring so popular including picnic sets from the 1920s, alongside caravans, radio sets, gramophones and knitted swimsuits. It is also the home of the little super hero car 'Brum'.
The Model Village (4 miles) Website : www.theoldnewinn.co.uk The Model Village is a 9:1 scale replica of Bourton-on-the-Water built from the local Cotswold stone. Through the heart of the Model Village runs a miniature River Windrush - about a metre wide. It flows from the working water mill, beneath replicas of five of Bourton's famous stone bridges, on its way to the Thames.
The Dragonfly Maze (4 miles) Telephone : 01451 822252 The Dragonfly Maze has a central pavilion, constructed of local materials, housing the fabulous automated sculptures hand crafted by artist, sculptor and writer Kit Williams.
Longborough Festival Opera (4 miles) Website : www.longboroughopera.com The Opera House at Longborough seats almost 500 and an orchestra pit accommodating 65 players. It is situated on the edge of the Cotswold village of Longborough and provides quality operatic performances during their summer season.
The Yellow Hat Tribe Gallery (4 miles) Website : www.theyellowhat-tribe.com The Yellow Hat Tribe exhibits the work of artist Irene Tyack, the creator of The Yellow Hat Tribe. This is contemporary art with a difference. The popularity of her work has grown enormously over the last few years and her original acrylics, watercolours and limited editions lithographs can now be found in private collections all over the world.
Cotswold Leisure (4 miles) The Cotswold Leisure Centre, our local swimming facility, is open to non-members but please check their website for times of public swimming.
Rob Ireland Activity Days (6 miles) Website : www.robireland.co.uk Rob Ireland offers driving activities ranging from grass and dirt circuits created for Quad Bikes and Honda Pilots to the 4x4 Off-Road section, Tractor & Trailer slalom and Reverse Steer Power Turns buggies. Also on offer are Archery, Air Guns, Paintballing and Clay Pigeon Shooting.
Chipping Norton Theatre (9 miles) Website : www.chippingnortontheatre.co.uk Chipping Norton Theatre has been described as the prettiest small theatre in England and is well worth visiting as it offers a good programme of plays and films.
World of Mechanical Music (9 miles) Website : www.mechanicalmusic.co.uk The World of Mechanical Music is a unique collection of self-playing musical instruments presented as a live entertainment. It has probably the best selection of musical boxes and musical collector's items found anywhere.
Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway (10 miles) Website : www.gwsr.com The Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway is an all-volunteer steam and diesel heritage railway in the English Cotswolds. It offers a round trip of over 20 miles of line, together with platforms, buildings, steam and diesel locomotives and rolling stock.
Hook Norton Brewery (15 miles) Website : www.hooknortonbrewery.co.uk The Hook Norton Brewery remains one of only 32 independent family-run breweries. It is a fine example of a Victorian tower brewery and it's also the only brewery still driven by steam. The Hook Norton Brewery was started over 150 years ago by farmer and maltster John Harris. Today it is run by his great great grandson James Clarke.
Cheltenham Racecourse (16 miles) Website : www.cheltenham.co.uk Cheltenham is one of Europe's top racecourses, hosting the four day Cheltenham Festival in March. Each of the four days hosts a number of Championship races, with the climax of the jump racing season coming on the Friday in the form of the Totesport Cheltenham Gold Cup.
Stratford-upon-Avon (21 miles) Website : www.stratford-upon-avon.co.uk Stratford-upon-Avon is the birthplace of William Shakespeare and for theatre goers there is always something showing at the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC). Guests can visit Shakespeare's houses and the beautiful parks and gardens on the banks of the River Avon or enjoy them whilst boating on the river.
Heritage Motor Centre (22miles) Website : www.heritage-motor-centre.co.uk The Heritage Motor Centre houses the world's largest collection of historic British cars. The museum has over 250 cars spanning the years from the 1890's to the present day.
