Birdland Park and Garden (4 miles) Website : www.birdland.co.uk Birdland is a natural setting of woodland, river and gardens for over 500 birds from around the world including the only King Penguins in England and over 50 aviaries of parrots, falcons, pheasants, hornbills, toucans, touracos, pigeons, ibis and many more.
Cotswold Farm Park (6 miles) Website : www.cotswoldfarmpark.co.uk The Cotswold Farm Park is the home of domestic rare breed conservation. The farm is run by TV presenter Adam Henson and as well as the collection of farm animals there is a wonderful Touch Barn and exciting Play Barn too. The Farm Park is open from March to September and then weekends to the end of October (autumn half term daily opening).
Batsford Arboretum (5 miles) Website : www.batsarb.co.uk Batsford Arboretum has one of the largest private collections of trees and shrubs in the country. The collection covers a wide range of plants from around the world and the arboretum has a great interest in conservation.
Cotswold Falconry Centre (5 miles) Website : www.cotswold-falconry.co.uk The Cotswold Falconry Centre is situated next to the Batsford Arboretum and houses over 80 individual birds of prey and aims to be one of the friendliest and informative raptor centres in the country. There are daily flying displays lasting up to one hour.
Mill Dene Garden (7 miles) Website : www.milldenegarden.co.uk Mill Dene Garden is a water-mill garden designed in English Country garden style. Steep terraces rise from the mill-pool stream and grotto and paths wander through the rose walk to the fantasy fruit garden. The garden is open April to September.
Snowshill Lavender (9 miles) Website : www.snowshill-lavender.co.uk Snowshill Lavender makes a wide range of soaps and toiletries from the lavender oils extracted in their distillery. These are available in their gift shop, open from Easter to September, as well as a wide range of lavender plants available in season. Their products are available on line throughout the year.

It is home to a fascinating and varied collection of animals, birds, reptiles and invertebrates from all over the world and is involved in breeding programmes of worldwide conservation importance. The gardens, too, aim to demonstrate the wonder and diversity of the plant kingdom.

Kiftsgate Court Garden (14 miles) Website : www.kiftsgate.co.uk Kiftsgate Court Garden appears as a series of interconnecting gardens each with its distinct character. It is the creation of three generations of women gardeners who have collected specimens from all over the world. |
